Scheduling scans PowerMapper Desktop Manual

You can schedule regular scans of your site. Before doing this you must have created a site file and saved it.

To schedule a scan:

  1. Choose View Schedule from the File menu to display the Scheduled Tasks page.
  2. Click the New Task button on the Scheduled Tasks page.
  3. Set the time you want the site scanned on the Schedule tab.
  4. Click OK and enter your Windows username and password when prompted. This is the username and password you use to login to Windows, and allows the the task to run when you’re not logged in.

Notes

  • On Windows 7 and later, Tasks appear in the Task Scheduler tool in Administrative Tools folder in Windows Control Panel (tasks may not by visible until they’ve run for the first time).
  • You can specify a different username and password to run as, but this account must have write permission to the saved site file. Standard user accounts do not usually have permission to read or write files in another user’s My Documents folder.
